<p class="style1">Central Otago is a region rich in heritage. Going back to a time when Maori sojourned to the gold-rushing Europeans and the pioneers stationers is one of the first steps towards appreciating all elements that have shaped the nature of this place and its people. </p>
<p style="letter-spacing: -1px; font-weight: bold;">There are stories of the early European settlers who found a barren and empty landscape, softened only by the changing colours of the seasons. The stories of the early farmers who endured a hard, yet invigorating life as they broke the land, striving to establish the first early sheep stations. </p>
<p>There are stories of the early miners — the conquests and the tragedies of the rush for gold. In Central Otago, there is a sense of timelessness. Moving through its diverse communities one cannot but help be captivated by the rich history of this unique place.</p>
<p>The journey is not over, as a community we continue to shape the nature of how this community will unfold…</p>
